Peter arrived home and discovered that he had forgotten his door key. He rang the bell, but nobody came to open the door. He rang again, and waited, but still there was no answer. He walked around the house to see if he could find an open window. But they were all closed. It was beginning to rain and he did not know what to do. Dorothy, his wife, had obviously gone out, and he did not know where she had gone, or when she would return. He waited for half an hour. Still nobody came. Finally feeling wet and angry, he picked up a big stone and threw it through the kitchen window and was climbing through it. When he heard the front door open, his wife came back.
