答案：选择素家族及其成员是是一类异亲型结合、Ca2 依赖的细胞粘着分子，能与特异糖基识别并结合。在白细胞与内皮细胞粘附，炎症发生以及淋巴细胞归巢中发挥重要作用。选择素家族有L-选择素、E-选择素、P-选择素三个成员，其中E、L、P分别表示最初分离获得这三个选择素的内皮细胞、白细胞和血小板。各成员膜外区有较高的同源性和结构类似性，但穿膜区和胞浆区没有同源性。
